Laboratory purchasing is unreasonably slow. Quotes take a week, catalogue pricing bears no relationship to what anyone actually pays, and the person who can answer a technical question is never the person who answers the phone.
Cell Vita Research was set up to be the boring opposite of that. We hold U.S. stock of the items labs consume continuously, we price directly rather than by tier, and we answer sourcing questions in hours rather than days. There is no minimum order and no annual commitment — if we stop being useful, you stop ordering.

Three commitments
Say the real lead time
If something will take three weeks we say three weeks at quote, not after you have planned around it. An accurate bad answer beats an optimistic one.
Price the same for everyone
Our pricing does not depend on how hard you negotiate or how big your institution is. The number on the catalogue is the number.
Answer technically
Questions about specification, compatibility or substitution get answered by someone who understands the application, not routed to a queue.
